Queensryche

Formed in 1981, Queensryche emerged among many of the pop-metal band of the 80s with a progressive sound, drawing from the post-Van Halen guitar acrobatics and influences from Pink Floyd and Queen. Their best known album is 1988's 'Operation: Mindcrime,' which yielded the band a breakthrough hit with 'Silent Lucidity.'

Jimmie's Chicken Shack

Always a crowd pleaser, Jimmie's Chicken Shack isn't necessarily breaking new musical ground, but they take the tried and true rock 'n' roll formula and put it through the blender with a little rap, funk, punk, metal and jam. What you end up with is a unique sound complemented nicely by Jimi Haha's enticing lyrical skills.
