Camino a casa: Coming Home on Day of the Dead
Folk Art/Crafts,History/Science,Ethnic
'Camino a casa' is the Museum's largest ever exhibition devoted to this annual observance of the "Day of the Dead." During every Day of the Dead celebration, families who honor their loved ones create ofrendas (altars with offerings) or visit the cemetery to reunite
with their deceased family members once again. Whether they believe that the souls become part of the living, or they honor them by remembering their lives, families on this night welcome their lost loved
ones back home.
